The Fifth World Kyokushin Union Championship (KWU) has been postponed to 2022. The news was announced by the general secretary of the organization Alexander Pichkunov.

“Dear friends, for more than a year now we have been forced to adapt to the pandemic situation,” Pichkunov said in an open letter.

“Many national and international tournaments and seminars have been postponed. I’m sure we’ll be able to last a little longer! Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to defeat the coronavirus. It still reflects on our way of life.
