Speed and endurance – this was required by instructors Peter Arts and Sammy Schilt during the evening training on the second day of the camp of the International Professional League of the World Kyokushin Union (KWU).

The next event of the organization is held in the “Mladost” hall of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna (March 18-21).

Kickboxing legends have put the participants to new severe and tiring trials. The K-1 greats exchanged groups in the morning.

“Stand up for your victory!” Be fast! ”Shouted the four-time world champion in the heavyweight category of professional kickboxing Sammy Shilt during the warm-up.

He worked with a group of professional athletes who had to do a series of push-ups, sit-ups, burpees and more at the beginning of the activity.

After serious some sweating in the beginning, Schilt divided them into pairs and gave the task to the partners to perform different combinations without contact – there were boxing combinations, for low kick, for guard and others.

All the while, the Dutch star encouraged the fighters to move, as well as to change partners at each break.

Three-time K-1 champion Peter Arts did not spare the group of instructors.

Their activity began on the bags. The exercises were concentrated on the kicks. Low kicks, kidney kicks, and mawashi were all practiced on the instructions of the Dutch Lumberjack.

“Don’t sleep! Don’t sleep! It’s time to work – I want you to cut with these legs – bam!”,  reminded of his nickname Arts.

His son Marciano and Sensei Zahari Damyanov partnered in his group, who attracted attention with their efforts. The couple sweated profusely and showed how to train in the camps of the International Professional League of the World Kyokushin Union.

Damyanov, for whom the different variations of Mawashi are like child’s play, barely broke the punching bags.

The final part of the training offered light sparring, in which the emphasis was again on the final kicks. And this lesson passed in a great mood with jokes and fun moments. The team is united and all athletes seem ready for the hardships at home and internationally.

The third camp of the International Professional League of the World Kyokushin Union continues with another training tomorrow.
