Our country had 44 contesters in the competition.

Bulgaria ended wonderfully on the 33rd KWF European Kyokushin tournament. The nationals from the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation won 18 more medals in the tournament within the 21 years old and within the men and women in the championship, which took place in Portugal.

During the second day from the competition, our karate players took 5 gold, 6 silver, and 7 bronze medals. Within the boys and girls, up to 21 years, Nikola Kyuchukov and Yani Krustev were crowing with gold. The men took three more first places – Kristiyan Doychev, Georgi Doychev, and Hristo Georgiev.

Nikol Harizanova, Nikola Karastoyanov, and Lachezar Palachorov were honored with silver medals within the boys and girls up to 21 years. Our country took three-second places: Valeriya Lozanova within the women, and Berkdjan Shen and Yordan Miladinov within the men.

Mariya Chepilova and Atanas Spirtov took bronze within the boys and girls up to 21 years. Iya Kostova, Mariela Lyubenova and Gabriela Mircheva were crowing with awards within the women and Andrey Andreev and Nikolay Zotev within the men.

The nationals were led by the trainers Zahari Damyanov, Petar Martinov and Deyan Bratkov. 

On the first day of the championship, the youngsters which were leaded by sensei Jivko Andreev and sensei Hristo Hristov, won 13 medals ( 4 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze).
